Carenbe is a physician-led, private home care provider that partners with Georgia Medicaid programs so eligible families can stay at home instead of in a nursing facility. We guide families through the application process and provide ongoing support.

SFC is a Medicaid program that lets qualified family members be paid to care for an elderly or disabled family member at home. The family member must need at least 5 hours of care daily, and the caregiver and family member must live in the same home. The caregiver cannot have other employment while serving as the paid caregiver.

Eligibility is based on factors like Medicaid status, medical needs, functional limitations, living arrangements, and financial eligibility.

The caregiver must be related to the person they care for by blood, marriage, or adoption — for example, adult children, parents, siblings, in-laws, or adopted relatives — and must be able to pass a background check. Friends do not qualify.
